LOCARNO FILM FESTIVAL, AUGUST 2026

The Migros Culture Percentage Story Lab organised a fishbowl at the Locarno Film Festival. Director and screenwriter Petra Volpe offered insights into her work. The discussion was moderated by AC Coppens.

The 90 min interactive session invited talents from the festival’s multidisciplinary Basecamp program to engage in a discussion with one of the most established Swiss filmmakers. In a circle, Petra shared about her artistic practice, career, and geographic trajectory.

This was Petra’s first public appearance of the 2026 festival - two days before the Swiss/European premiere of her new film Frank & Louis in Piazza Grande, that later was awarded the 2026 Prix du Public UBS.
